The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rolf Petersson kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 7thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Sjovvan United FC's keeper Roland Törnqvist was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by George Frisck during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gunnar Ivarsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Örjan Nyqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Roland Törnqvist didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Andy Eriksson hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Rolf Petersson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Roland Törnqvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 29 minutes into the match, Hällnäs FF's Göran Grep sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roland Törnqvist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Sjovvan United FC's goalkeeper Roland Törnqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rolf Petersson. Roland Törnqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mattias Nordström, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rolf Petersson got free with Roland Törnqvist in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Viktor Malmgren hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Mattias Nordström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolf Petersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Sjovvan United FC's Bo Kellman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gunnar Ivarsson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Rolf Petersson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roland Törnqvist having to make a save. 65 minutes into the match, Rolf Petersson notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sjovvan United FC's Roland Törnqvist. Roland Törnqvist was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Roland Törnqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Petersson in the 68th minute of play. When Hällnäs FF's Göran Grep in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sjovvan United FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 73rd minute Rolf Petersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roland Törnqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gunnar Ivarsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Örjan Nyqvist in the 81st minute of play. Rolf Petersson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Törnqvist having to interfere. When Rolf Petersson fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hällnäs FF's protests and gave Rolf Petersson a yellow card for diving instead. Rolf Petersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Roland Törnqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sjovvan United FC's Roland Törnqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Petersson in the 92nd minute of play. Roland Törnqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Eriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hällnäs FF fully deserved thier win.
