The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rolf Petersson in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fredrik Björck saved Alvhem RK from getting behind. In the 11th minute of the match Hällnäs FF got a corner. Alvhem RK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. George Frisck ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Hällnäs FF's Göran Grep to fire away a dangerous shot which Fredrik Björck despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 14th minute Rolf Petersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Björck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mattias Nordström might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fredrik Björck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mattias Nordström ran back to his position shaking his head. Gunnar Ivarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Nyström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Hällnäs FF's Gunnar Ivarsson got control of the ball when Torgny Nilsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Rolf Petersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gunnar Ivarsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Torgny Nilsson in the 29th minute. Rolf Petersson struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Fredrik Björck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hällnäs FF. Göran Grep sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hällnäs FF's Rolf Petersson in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Fredrik Björck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Göran Grep in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes in the game, Göran Grep dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When Rolf Petersson, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 47 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Fredrik Björck was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rolf Petersson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd play minute Rolf Petersson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fredrik Björck. 0-1. When Rolf Petersson came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Hällnäs FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolf Petersson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Alvhem RK's zone, Göran Grep stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fredrik Björck came out of the goal and Göran Grep tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hällnäs FF's Göran Grep got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rolf Petersson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fredrik Björck firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 74th minute, Rolf Petersson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hällnäs FF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 79th play minute Rolf Petersson came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Fredrik Björck. 0-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Rolf Petersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hällnäs FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Rolf Petersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fredrik Björck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Fredrik Björck managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Hällnäs FF's Rolf Petersson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rolf Petersson in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fredrik Björck, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the match was over Hällnäs FF could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alvhem RK throughout the match.
