Sven-Ove Sundström came out of the goal and Mikael Simonsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Charles Apelkvist came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the HTFF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charles Apelkvist couldn't finish the play. Mikael Simonsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Ove Sundström having to interfere. In the 40th minute Niklas Lund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Ove Sundström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sven-Ove Sundström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Simonsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arvid Falkrans hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ivar Alberg to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes HTFF got a freekick which was hit by Niklas Lund. A hard shot 59 in the game by Charles Apelkvist from a close distance when the talented Sven-Ove Sundström managed to make a qualified save. Skånes Fagerhult's players were relieved. Sven-Ove Sundström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mikael Simonsson in the 61st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Skånes Fagerhult's zone, Mikael Simonsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charles Apelkvist in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. If Mikael Simonsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Skånes Fagerhult:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of HTFF:s goal. When the match had been going on for 95 minutes, HTFF's Robert Carlsson got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sven-Ove Sundström.
