In the 13th minute of the match Joakim Bäckman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicklas Alfors skillfully saved the ball. Nicklas Alfors showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Douglas Walmarsson in the 17th minute of the match. Vilhelm Strömbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Lillåns FK getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Harry Bergfeldt hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Malå's Bengt-Rune Tolsson tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 33rd minute Vilhelm Strömbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicklas Alfors saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, Malå was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt-Rune Tolsson to maneuver through the defense. Adrian Bivall hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Göran Vikström was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Magnus Vidman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas Walmarsson in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicklas Alfors saved Malå from getting behind. After having played for 56 minutes, Vilhelm Strömbom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lillåns FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vilhelm Strömbom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Richard Westerstrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bojan Hojan having to interfere. Richard Westerstrand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Bojan Hojan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lillåns FK's Torgny Wallmark got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Torgny Wallmark off the ground. In the 78th match minute, Lillåns FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torgny Wallmark to maneuver through the defense. Malå's Bengt-Rune Tolsson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lillåns FK.
