Benknäckargänget's Anthon Wennerberg got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Johnny Öfverman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harald Felin's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Erik Ahlgren hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Börje Engström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Rydberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Fristedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Göran Rydberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Birra Moretti booed when Benknäckargänget was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Ahlgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birra Moretti's Evert Beckström couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Benknäckargänget. Evert Beckström hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute of the match Benknäckargänget got a corner. Birra Moretti's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bengt-Rune Linberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Benknäckargänget's Olov Hansson to fire away a dangerous shot which Johnny Öfverman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Kurt Fristedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Rydberg having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Benknäckargänget's goal looked a bit too open when Börje Engström came free, but Göran Rydberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Göran Rydberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Börje Engström, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After 45 minutes, Erik Ahlgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Benknäckargänget and the Birra Moretti players grew even worse after the yellow card. The wind increased when Harald Felin made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Börje Engström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Birra Moretti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Börje Engström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Anthon Wennerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Johnny Öfverman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
