When Christoffer Askstedt fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sjötofta's protests and gave Christoffer Askstedt a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sjötofta's Christoffer Askstedt got a free kick in the 4th minute. Kristoffer Alebeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Linqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sjötofta's goalkeeper Mark Vestlund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Måns Beneth kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mark Vestlund. That made the score 2-0 in the 25 minute of play. If Stig-Åke Sander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30thth minute of the game Vilhelm Linqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Segersta's Kristoffer Alebeck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Sven-Ove Åman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristoffer Alebeck. Segersta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Ove Åman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Vilhelm Linqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Kristoffer Alebeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kristoffer Alebeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Ove Åman in the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilhelm Linqvist in the 48th minute of play forced Segersta's goalkeeper Kristoffer Alebeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sven-Ove Åman to make the kick off. Vilhelm Linqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristoffer Alebeck having to interfere. In the 60th match minute, Segersta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilgot Hellqvist to maneuver through the defense. Sjötofta's Jack Martinsson couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Segersta. The supporters of Sjötofta booed when Segersta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kristoffer Alebeck didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 67th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Segersta's zone, Krister Wallander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristoffer Alebeck came out of the goal and Krister Wallander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stig-Åke Sander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Mark Vestlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vilhelm Linqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Segersta's Stig-Åke Sander got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sjötofta were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
