Spectators: 7263 (Terracing: 5449, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 144) Per-Erik Thidén made the kick off and thus started the match. Gustaf Karlsson kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Ronny Bållström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Erik Thidén in the 7th minute of play. After 9 played minutes FC Spaten got a freekick which was hit by Ingmar Falkrantz. If Per-Erik Thidén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jens-Åke Söderquist fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Spaten's protests and gave Jens-Åke Söderquist a yellow card for diving instead. Jens-Åke Söderquist hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Ronny Bållström came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by The Referees FC's Gustaf Karlsson. But to his dismay, Gustaf Karlsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Gustaf Karlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ronny Bållström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Referees FC's goalkeeper Vilhelm Sjögren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, FC Spaten's Ronny Bållström got control of the ball when Gustaf Karlsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute Evert Granström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vilhelm Sjögren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vilhelm Sjögren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evert Granström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evert Granström's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vilhelm Sjögren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Gustaf Karlsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Ronny Bållström made a huge save. In the 41st minute, Gustaf Karlsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evert Granström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ingmar Falkrantz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Per-Erik Thidén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronny Bållström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Erik Thidén, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When Gustaf Karlsson came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the The Referees FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaf Karlsson couldn't finish the play. The Referees FC's Gustaf Karlsson got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronny Bållström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Per-Erik Thidén's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. The Referees FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
