The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Gösta Myr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joacim Blom kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Mark Biörkquist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Josef Olsson during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 12 played minutes Jonsered got a freekick which was hit by Josef Olsson. Mark Biörkquist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Sala FF booed when Jonsered was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niklas Kilstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Mark Biörkquist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sala FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Mark Biörkquist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henry Bagge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mark Biörkquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonsered's Josef Olsson got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Sala FF's Klas Ödmann got control of the ball when Andreas Albom tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sala FF's Klas Ödmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Albom in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Joacim Blom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Elias Vidman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Sala FF's goalkeeper Klas Ödmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sven-Oskar Ahlfors. Klas Ödmann made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andreas Albom in the 38th minute. 39 minutes into the game, Joacim Blom was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sala FF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jonsered the free kick. If Vidar Örtendal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mark Biörkquist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Vidar Örtendal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Klas Ödmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Andreas Albom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Klas Ödmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andreas Albom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klas Ödmann having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Sala FF's Gösta Myr sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Henry Bagge narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Andreas Albom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evert Gustafsson's late challenge caught a Jonsered's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evert Gustafsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Evert Gustafsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vidar Örtendal succeeded in the game's 83rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. In the 86th minute, Elias Vidman had to leave the field with a concussion. Vidar Örtendal's late challenge caught a Sala FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vidar Örtendal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Jonsered was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vidar Örtendal to maneuver through the defense. If Vidar Örtendal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evert Gustafsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Bagge having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Gösta Myr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sala FF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Jonsered.
