After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Ragnar Bruse managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rydal FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ragnar Bruse was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Björn Jönsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Stig-Ove Bergman fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mossis Pågar IF's protests and gave Stig-Ove Bergman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Stig-Ove Bergman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marc Nordin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Björn Jönsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ragnar Bruse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. During the 27th minute of the match Stig-Ove Bergman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Stig-Ove Bergman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The supporters of Rydal FK booed when Mossis Pågar IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Bergman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mossis Pågar IF's Björn Jönsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Bruse in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute Ralf Termander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Jönsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ralf Termander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Mossis Pågar IF's Kent Sjögren got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Mossis Pågar IF's Björn Jönsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ragnar Bruse in the 43rd minute of play. Ragnar Bruse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Birger Lundberg was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Rydal FK's Hugo Törnqvist got a free kick in the 57th minute. Ralf Termander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Alf Ahlroth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the last second Björn Jönsson throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ragnar Bruse in the 65thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ragnar Bruse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Björn Jönsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ragnar Bruse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Björn Jönsson made a huge save. Sven-Edvin Petersson came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mossis Pågar IF's Birger Lundberg. But to his dismay, Birger Lundberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a little luck, Mossis Pågar IF's Björn Jönsson got control of the ball when Dan Carlsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Ragnar Bruse got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ragnar Bruse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Björn Jönsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ralf Termander came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Björn Jönsson could save by the left post. In the 97th minute Ragnar Bruse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Björn Jönsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rydal FK were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
