After 18 minutes, Birger Lundberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mossis Pågar IF and the Mjölksyra IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Mossis Pågar IF got a freekick which was hit by Birger Lundberg. 1-0 became the score in the 21st minute when Birger Lundberg elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Martin Alström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 30 minutes, Yngve Billing managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mjölksyra IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yngve Billing was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yngve Billing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th match minute, Mossis Pågar IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Sjögren to maneuver through the defense. Wilhelm Lindgren took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Björn Jönsson. Mossis Pågar IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Björn Jönsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yngve Billing's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Nils-Emil Danielsson hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

51 minutes into the game, Alf Ahlroth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Mats Wallmark was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 54 played minutes Mossis Pågar IF got a freekick which was hit by Stig-Ove Bergman. Yngve Billing's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Björn Jönsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Mossis Pågar IF's Björn Jönsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Mossis Pågar IF from getting a goal against them. In the 69th match minute, Mossis Pågar IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Axel Kilstedt to maneuver through the defense. When Birger Lundberg came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Mossis Pågar IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Birger Lundberg couldn't finish the play. If Birger Lundberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Mjölksyra IF's Harry Britz got a free kick in the 81st minute. Martin Alström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Björn Jönsson made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Mossis Pågar IF had won after a very even match.
