Stig-Ove Stabbe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Bayern Munchen's Alex Åman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bayern Munchen from getting a goal against them. Torsten Stenqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elliot Lennartsson went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Lindberg in the 15th minute of play forced FC Bayern Munchen's goalkeeper Alex Åman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vilshults IF's Torsten Stenqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliot Lennartsson in the 19th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Tage Lindberg took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Alex Åman to make any attempt to save it. In the 30th play minute Stig-Ove Stabbe came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alex Åman. 2-1. A collision led to Vilshults IF getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Tage Lindberg hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frans Skoglund to make the kick off. When Stig-Ove Stabbe fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vilshults IF's protests and gave Stig-Ove Stabbe a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Bayern Munchen booed when Vilshults IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Stabbe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vilshults IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bayern Munchen the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Vilshults IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Ödmann to maneuver through the defense. Alex Åman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Ove Stabbe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vilshults IF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
