Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Östen Mårtensson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jim Smedfeldt took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl-Ove Valrot. Karl-Ove Valrot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 12 minutes into the match, Äspered's goal looked a bit too open when Östen Mårtensson came free, but Ronny Torstensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ronny Torstensson was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Östen Mårtensson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Östen Mårtensson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After a rather tough play, Virestad's Karl-Magnus Kihlman got a free kick in the 19th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Jim Smedfeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Äspered's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jim Smedfeldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eskil Jernberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Östen Mårtensson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronny Torstensson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 33rd minute of the match, Östen Mårtensson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ronny Torstensson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ronny Torstensson made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Eskil Jernberg sent off a good shot on target. Edvard Rosendal's late challenge caught a Virestad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edvard Rosendal helped the player get up and apologised. Edvard Rosendal kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Eskil Jernberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronny Torstensson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars Gudmundsson made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Eskil Jernberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronny Torstensson was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Östen Mårtensson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Virestad's supporters rose to their feet, but Östen Mårtensson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronny Torstensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 59th minute Eskil Jernberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Torstensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Eskil Jernberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronny Torstensson. Äspered's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eskil Jernberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Karl-Ove Valrot came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Äspered's Jim Smedfeldt. But to his dismay, Jim Smedfeldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. After 78 minutes, Östen Mårtensson made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Äspered's Ronny Torstensson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Östen Mårtensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Göran Valler shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Eskil Jernberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Östen Mårtensson scored 5-2 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronny Torstensson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tobias Kaxe took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ronny Torstensson. Äspered's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Virestad's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
