An unexpectedly hard shot by Einar Kollberg in the 23rd minute of play forced Rentjärn IK's goalkeeper Dan Odin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25thth minute of the game Joachim Vacker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Schtek IF's Michael Haeger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th match minute, Rentjärn IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joachim Vacker to maneuver through the defense. Freddie Hake might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michael Haeger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dan Odin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Jörgen Kvarnström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Hake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Michael Haeger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Haeger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Vacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Rentjärn IK's Dan Odin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Hägglund in the 58th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rentjärn IK's zone, Folke Hägglund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dan Odin came out of the goal and Folke Hägglund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jörgen Kvarnström came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Schtek IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörgen Kvarnström couldn't finish the play. When Joachim Vacker came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Rentjärn IK fans jumped to their feet. Jörgen Kvarnström showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. A collision led to Schtek IF getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ivar Andersson hit a great ball. Joachim Vacker hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Rentjärn IK's Joachim Vacker fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal, but it hit the crossbar and went out into the crowd. After 95 played minutes, Rentjärn IK's Adrian Almqvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Michael Haeger came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rentjärn IK reached it. When Joachim Vacker came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Rentjärn IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joachim Vacker couldn't finish the play. Schtek IF's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
