When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Jakob Bennet put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Axel Arenius. 7 minutes into the game, Rickard Wallander recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stig Ekeroth. Rickard Wallander showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 11th minute Jakob Bennet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Arenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig Ekeroth was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Marc Hammarström capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marc Hammarström really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Marc Hammarström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Stig Ekeroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Två-åker's Axel Arenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sten Öman in the 22nd minute of play. Marc Hammarström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Stig Ekeroth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stig Ekeroth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander Jonasson in the 28th minute. The supporters of Två-åker booed when Ölmstad IS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Michael Lidman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexander Jonasson was the one to do the kick off. Helge Högström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Ölmstad IS defense, Rickard Wallander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stig Ekeroth. The Ölmstad IS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stig Ekeroth should have stopped the shot. Ölmstad IS's Stig Ekeroth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marc Hammarström in the 62nd minute of play. Stig Ekeroth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexander Jonasson went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Rickard Wallander kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Ölmstad IS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Björnsson to maneuver through the defense. Marc Hammarström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stig Ekeroth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexander Jonasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Ölmstad IS's goal looked a bit too open when Marc Hammarström came free, but Stig Ekeroth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
