The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Tim Lindgren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fjärdsjömåla AIF and the Oxelösunds IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fjärdsjömåla AIF's goalkeeper Viggo Jonasson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Johannes Bäckman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tim Lindgren struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Isak Lundin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fjärdsjömåla AIF. Jan-Åke Bergfelts short, quick shot in the 16thth minute got Viggo Jonasson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Isak Lundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Bäckman in the 20th minute of the match. Oxelösunds IK's Isak Lundin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johannes Bäckman in the 23rd minute of play. Jan-Åke Bergfelt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viggo Jonasson having to interfere. In the 36th minute Carl Kielberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viggo Jonasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Tim Lindgren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sven-Åke Öberg kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. A collision led to Oxelösunds IK getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Evert Hellström hit a great ball. Tim Lindgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isak Lundin having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johannes Bäckman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jan-Åke Bergfelt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viggo Jonasson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carl Kielberg in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viggo Jonasson saved Fjärdsjömåla AIF from getting behind. Isak Lundin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Bäckman, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Tim Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 played minutes Oxelösunds IK got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Kråk. The corner led Fjärdsjömåla AIF's Walter Palm to fire away a dangerous shot which Isak Lundin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Isak Lundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johannes Bäckman in the 66th minute of play. Carl Kielberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Viggo Jonasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 84 minutes, Carl Kielberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oxelösunds IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carl Kielberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Oxelösunds IK's Isak Lundin got control of the ball when Tim Lindgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fjärdsjömåla AIF's zone, Jan-Åke Bergfelt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viggo Jonasson came out of the goal and Jan-Åke Bergfelt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carl Kielberg scored 1-0 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Viggo Jonasson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
