With an extended leg and a bit of luck Einar Berglund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carl Bergman scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Einar Berglund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Olov Bröms had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Einar Berglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Samuelsson in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olov Bröms in the 22nd minute of play forced Gib Team's goalkeeper Per-Olof Lundhberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evert Bengtsson got free with Per-Olof Lundhberg in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evert Bengtsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Per-Olof Lundhberg made a huge save. Einar Berglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tim Samuelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olov Bröms recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tim Samuelsson took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Einar Berglund. Einar Berglund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Gib Team's Sven-Edvin Björnberg got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Carl Bergman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olov Bröms stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tim Samuelsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Einar Berglund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tim Samuelsson ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 58th minute, Carl Bergman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gib Team's Tim Samuelsson in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AIK Stockholm's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, AIK Stockholm's Robert Bern got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Einar Berglund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Samuelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. With his leg Einar Berglund managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Gib Team's Carl Bergman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Tim Samuelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gib Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Tim Samuelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Einar Berglund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gib Team's Carl Bergman got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the game, Olov Bröms cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Per-Olof Lundhberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carl Bergman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Samuelsson in the 82nd minute of play forced AIK Stockholm's goalkeeper Einar Berglund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carl Bergman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Einar Berglund having to interfere. Einar Berglund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carl Bergman in the 91st minute. When Robert Bern fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AIK Stockholm's protests and gave Robert Bern a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd match minute, AIK Stockholm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Bern to maneuver through the defense. Tim Samuelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The AIK Stockholm fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gib Team were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
