Spectators: 7159 (Terracing: 5479, Seating: 1680, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Carl Björkdahl started the match with the kick off. Lotorp IFK's Sven-Åke Biörnberg got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wiktor Offendahl got free with Manfred Tönnberg in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 12 played minutes Strengnesia IF got a freekick which was hit by Emil Wallin. Manfred Tönnberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Åke Biörnberg in the 15th minute of play. Wiktor Offendahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24thth minute of the game Carl Björkdahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lotorp IFK's Albert Olofsson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Carl Björkdahl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sven-Åke Biörnberg was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Strengnesia IF's Manfred Tönnberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Strengnesia IF from getting a goal against them. Sven-Åke Biörnberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manfred Tönnberg having to interfere. The supporters of Lotorp IFK booed when Strengnesia IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sten Bollström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manfred Tönnberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven-Åke Biörnberg in the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Strengnesia IF's goalkeeper Manfred Tönnberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wiktor Offendahl. In the 41st minute Carl Björkdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Olofsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pelle Löfgren charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pelle Löfgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute, Pelle Löfgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 45 minutes, Niclas Törnblom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Strengnesia IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Niclas Törnblom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Carl Björkdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of Strengnesia IF booed when Lotorp IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Åke Biörnberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Sven-Åke Biörnberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lotorp IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Åke Biörnberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manfred Tönnberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albert Olofsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Björkdahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Strengnesia IF's Carl Björkdahl ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Albert Olofsson. Albert Olofsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Sven-Åke Biörnberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manfred Tönnberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Strengnesia IF's Manfred Tönnberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Åke Biörnberg in the 80th minute of play. Carl Björkdahl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niclas Törnblom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Albert Olofsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
