The Skultuna Rangers fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Skultuna Rangers's Verner Petersson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Verner Petersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. John Klintæus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes, Dals Rostock's Bengt-Arne Blomquist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Birger Gustafsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dals Rostock reached it. Emanuel Gustavsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Klintæus having to interfere. In the 92nd minute Thomas Bergendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Birger Gustafsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, one of Skultuna Rangers:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Skultuna Rangers. Birger Gustafsson had in the 94thth minute some difficulties stopping Leonard Björk's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dals Rostock's zone, Verner Petersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Klintæus came out of the goal and Verner Petersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Dals Rostock support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
