The audience was convinced that Dag Alebeck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anders Wallin was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Viktor Johansson kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Anders Wallin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Åke Britz went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 31 minutes into the match, Östra Sönnarslöv's Jens-Erik Sundström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anders Wallin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 31 played minutes 09 Sörbo got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Johansson. 09 Sörbo's Anders Wallin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dag Alebeck in the 35th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Bo Uggstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 09 Sörbo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bo Uggstedt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Axel Uter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, 09 Sörbo's Viktor Johansson got a free kick in the 45th minute. 48 minutes had been played when some careless play by 09 Sörbo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bengt-Åke Apelqvist was slow to take the kick. During this time Östra Sönnarslöv's players had a chance to rest. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Gilbert Back made the kick off in the second half. In the 64th minute, 09 Sörbo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dag Alebeck fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 67 minutes into the match, Östra Sönnarslöv's goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Back came free, but Gunnar Pihlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bo Uggstedt in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gunnar Pihlberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dag Alebeck kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 77thth minute. Though ot was a great shot 09 Sörbo's keeper Anders Wallin was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 80th match minute, 09 Sörbo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars-Erik Haström to maneuver through the defense. When 09 Sörbo's Gilbert Back in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Östra Sönnarslöv's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Gilbert Back put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Gunnar Pihlberg. 91 minutes into the match, 09 Sörbo's Viktor Johansson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gunnar Pihlberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 92 minutes into the match, Östra Sönnarslöv's goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Back came free, but Gunnar Pihlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Östra Sönnarslöv eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
