Bates FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingvar Söderström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The supporters of No Life Til Leather booed when Bates FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torbjörn Ahlbeck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimmy Josefsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jimmy Josefsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Karl-Michael Bengtsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brian Harlén in the 37th minute of the match. If Jimmy Josefsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brian Harlén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Michael Bengtsson having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sebastian Vestberg made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Ingvar Söderström sent off a good shot on target. In the 82nd minute, Andreas Söderqwist made a precise shot to the right of Karl-Michael Bengtsson. No Life Til Leather's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. In the 87th minute Andreas Söderqwist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Michael Bengtsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Andreas Söderqwist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karl-Michael Bengtsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Harlén, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bates FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though No Life Til Leather had controlled the match.
