Spectators: 7221 (Terracing: 5519, Seating: 1692, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hampus Benet started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, Manchester City's Gunnar Fristedt got control of the ball when Mats Holmberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 6 played minutes Manchester City got a freekick which was hit by Robin Alkvist. Hampus Benet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tierp's Hampus Benet in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manchester City's goalie prevented a goal. Mats Holmberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Fristedt having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Söderlund in the 22nd minute of play forced Tierp's goalkeeper Sten Sjöberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jim Alén during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Måns Tingelholm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sten Sjöberg having to interfere. When Robin Alkvist fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manchester City's protests and gave Robin Alkvist a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Manchester City getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Robin Alkvist hit a great ball. In the 29th minute of the match Marcus Hydén sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gunnar Fristedt skillfully saved the ball. After 32 minutes of play Manchester City's Robin Alkvist was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. If Hampus Benet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tierp's Jim Alén got his second yellow card of the match in the 39th minute. The referee ordered Jim Alén off the ground. Axel Jonasson hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Sten Sjöberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Söderlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lars Söderlund made a kick off. Tierp's Mats Holmberg got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Mats Holmberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tierp's supporters rose to their feet, but Mats Holmberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gunnar Fristedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Tierp getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Axel Jonasson hit a great ball. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tierp's goalkeeper Sten Sjöberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Lars Söderlund reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sten Sjöberg. The goal made the score 0-1. Gunnar Fristedt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mats Holmberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Manchester City's Christian Bock got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lars Söderlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Sten Sjöberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lars Söderlund struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Sten Sjöberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester City. In the 76th minute, Tierp's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lars Söderlund fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Måns Tingelholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Axel Jonasson kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Axel Jonasson hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. A collision led to Manchester City getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Christian Bock hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Christian Bock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester City's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Bock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Sjöberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lars Söderlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lars Söderlund succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-2 in the 91st playminute.
