Jerry Brogren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Vedholm, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Gullabo's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Nordström came free, but Kurt Hamberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Håkan Vedholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Vålådalen's Gabriel Brun got a free kick in the 21st minute. Östen Sandström might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jerry Brogren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Östen Sandström ran back to his position shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Gert Nordström dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kurt Hamberg, 1-1. Nicklas Bolin charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicklas Bolin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gullabo's Kurt Hamberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Nordström in the 35th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Vålådalen's Kurt Hamberg threw himself towards the right post 37 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gert Nordström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jerry Brogren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Östen Sandström in the 39th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gert Nordström to strike the kick off in the second half. Gullabo's Kurt Hamberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Nordström in the 53rd minute of play. 54 minutes into the match, Sven-Edvin Hjälm had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kurt Hamberg. Gullabo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sven-Edvin Hjälm was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 68 minutes into the game, Gert Nordström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Kurt Hamberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gullabo's Kurt Hamberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Nordström in the 72nd minute of play. Jerry Brogren didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 79th minute, which inside left pole to 4-2. With a little luck, Vålådalen's Jerry Brogren got control of the ball when Håkan Vedholm tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Håkan Vedholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gullabo's Håkan Vedholm got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
