Nicklas Bolin hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. If Allan Liljeström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Allan Liljeström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Allan Liljeström's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 14thth minute, Kurt Hamberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Richard Lundgren struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Kurt Hamberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Habesh United. Allan Liljeström might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kurt Hamberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Allan Liljeström ran back to his position shaking his head. 19 minutes into the game, Gullabo's Göran Wennerberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilhelm Wikander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 22nd minute Östen Sandström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilhelm Wikander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Habesh United's Wilhelm Wikander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Östen Sandström in the 29th minute of play. Wilhelm Wikander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Östen Sandström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 34 played minutes Habesh United got a freekick which was hit by Allan Liljeström. Kurt Hamberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Liljeström's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Östen Sandström in the 38th minute of play forced Habesh United's goalkeeper Wilhelm Wikander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39thth minute of the game Allan Liljeström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gullabo's Kurt Hamberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gullabo's Kurt Hamberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Gullabo from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Kurt Hamberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Allan Liljeström, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The Gullabo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kurt Hamberg should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Allan Liljeström in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kurt Hamberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the game, Gullabo's Nicklas Bolin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilhelm Wikander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Kurt Hamberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Liljeström's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. The supporters of Habesh United booed when Gullabo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Wennerberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Habesh United's goalkeeper Wilhelm Wikander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicklas Bolin. In the 92nd minute, Gullabo's Nicklas Bolin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilhelm Wikander. Wilhelm Wikander yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. Allan Liljeström struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Kurt Hamberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Habesh United. Gullabo were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Habesh United's much stronger midfield.
