Marcus Wallmark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Virserum BF got a freekick which was hit by Vidar Österberg. Virserum BF's Marcus Wallmark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Hjälm in the 37th minute of play. Marcus Wallmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Hjälm, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Vidar Österberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Jerry Brogren made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

With a little luck, Virserum BF's Marcus Wallmark got control of the ball when Sven-Edvin Hjälm tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sven-Edvin Hjälm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Wallmark having to interfere. 74 minutes into the game, Vidar Österberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Jerry Brogren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcus Wallmark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Nordström, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Pelle Blanck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rdth minute of the game Gert Nordström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Virserum BF's Marcus Wallmark was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Virserum BF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Vålådalen had controlled the match.
