Gabriel Brun kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Jerry Brogren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Åke Björkqvist in the 10th minute of play. William Pihlgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of FC Marabou booed when Vålådalen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Brun didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the match, FC Marabou's William Pihlgren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jerry Brogren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If William Pihlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gert Nordström came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Vålådalen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gert Nordström couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Vålådalen booed when FC Marabou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Östen Johnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gert Nordström in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johannes Fernström saved FC Marabou from getting behind. Johannes Fernström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gert Nordström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 36th minute, Jon Fribäck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sven-Edvin Hjälm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Sven-Edvin Hjälm got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Johannes Fernström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Nordström, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Jerry Brogren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vidar Groth kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Vilhelm Beckeman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vålådalen's Kalle Lövskog got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
