Sponken FK's Alf Bergström shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jerry Abrahamsson but with some difficulty. Jerry Abrahamsson was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lars-Erik Sjö showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 36 minute of play. When Roger Lundström came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Sponken FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Lundström couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lars-Erik Sjö to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Kobe United's Ivan Göransson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adam Överman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bo-Erik Mellin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Adam Överman made a huge save. Ivan Göransson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Överman having to interfere. Adam Överman made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Bo-Erik Mellin sent off a good shot on target. Ivan Göransson charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Göransson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kobe United getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ivan Göransson hit a great ball. Thomas Bergström's late challenge caught a Sponken FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Bergström helped the player get up and apologised. 62 minutes into the game, one of Kobe United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Roger Lundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lars-Erik Sjö had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sponken FK's Adam Överman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Göransson in the 71st minute of play. Adam Överman made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Bo-Erik Mellin sent off a good shot on target. Jerry Abrahamsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roger Lundström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sponken FK's Adam Överman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Göransson in the 79th minute of play. Adam Överman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Göransson in the 94th minute of play. A collision led to Sponken FK getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Bernt Säv hit a great ball.
