Spectators: 7316 (Terracing: 5488, Seating: 1683, VIP seats: 145) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Christer Sigman made the kick off which started today's match. Christer Dahlgren charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christer Dahlgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, De Finska Lejonen's Christer Dahlgren got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 7th match minute, De Finska Lejonen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Eriksson to maneuver through the defense. Virsbo's Verner Grubb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ture Strömberg in the 10th minute of play. In the 15th minute Konrad Gerdberg suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Ludvig Hedlund hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Christer Sigman struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Adrian Stål didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Virsbo. Ture Strömberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christer Sigman in the 28th minute of play forced De Finska Lejonen's goalkeeper Adrian Stål to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ture Strömberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Grubb having to interfere. Verner Grubb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ture Strömberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Adrian Stål came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Virsbo's Christer Sigman. But to his dismay, Christer Sigman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ture Strömberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Verner Grubb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ture Strömberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ture Strömberg in the 58th minute of play forced Virsbo's goalkeeper Verner Grubb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Tommy Sandström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eskil Bagge might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Verner Grubb. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eskil Bagge ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ture Strömberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ture Strömberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herbert Eriksson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Grubb having to interfere. Verner Grubb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ture Strömberg in the 75th minute of play. Christer Sigman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ture Strömberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Verner Grubb read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Ture Strömberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Verner Grubb was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Ture Strömberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Verner Grubb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. De Finska Lejonen's Eskil Bagge got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 88th minute, Ture Strömberg made a precise shot to the right of Verner Grubb. Virsbo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Ture Strömberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ture Strömberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Verner Grubb. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ture Strömberg ran back to his position shaking his head. De Finska Lejonen were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
