Adam Fernkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robert Ennegren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adam Fernkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Ennegren in the 27th minute of play. Börje Henriksson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Adam Fernkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Robert Ennegren dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Adam Fernkvist, 2-0. In the 42nd minute Robert Ennegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Fernkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Filiph Erserman made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Tage Wall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Adam Fernkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Filiph Erserman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Erik Gallberg having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robert Ennegren in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adam Fernkvist saved Lyrestad IF from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Rune Hedlund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Västerstrand in the 68th minute of play forced Lyrestad IF's goalkeeper Adam Fernkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Börje Henriksson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Adam Fernkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kjell-Arne Biörnberg took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adam Fernkvist. Adam Fernkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Forserum's Börje Henriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robert Ennegren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lyrestad IF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Forserum.
