After 9 minutes, Eric Nordström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gargnäs BK and the Olympique Västberga players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, one of Gargnäs BK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gargnäs BK. In the 15th minute Alex Ahlbom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Verner Kullander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Alex Ahlbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gargnäs BK's zone, Alex Ahlbom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Verner Kullander came out of the goal and Alex Ahlbom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tobias Dahlberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Walter Wallin made a precise shot to the right of Kjell-Arne Pihlblad. Olympique Västberga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to Gargnäs BK getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jarl Ek hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 54th play minutes Walter Wallin shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Kjell-Arne Pihlblad and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 59th minute, Magne Sjögren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute, Rickard Frisk sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gargnäs BK's Verner Kullander didn't even have to move. Kjell-Arne Pihlblad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torbjörn Ström in the 63rd minute of play. Alex Ahlbom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Verner Kullander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Tobias Dahlberg in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Verner Kullander, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kjell-Arne Pihlblad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torbjörn Ström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the game, Tony Söderquist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Verner Kullander. Tony Söderquist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Alex Ahlbom might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Verner Kullander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alex Ahlbom ran back to his position shaking his head. After 85 minutes, Simon Målare mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gargnäs BK and the Olympique Västberga players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Gargnäs BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simon Målare to maneuver through the defense. Olympique Västberga's Rickard Frisk couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 86th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gargnäs BK. Gargnäs BK's Verner Kullander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Ahlbom in the 88th minute of play. Tobias Dahlberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Verner Kullander having to interfere. Verner Kullander made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Tobias Dahlberg sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Gargnäs BK's Magne Sjögren got a free kick in the 93rd minute. If Alex Ahlbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th match minute, Olympique Västberga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Söderquist to maneuver through the defense. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Gargnäs BK were victorious despite being under pressure from Olympique Västberga for much of the match.
