Örjan Lundqvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bengt Åhman's shot from short distance in the 2nd minute. Örjan Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt Åhman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 7th minute, Bengt-Åke Lundblad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mupparnas IF's goalkeeper Örjan Lundqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bengt Åhman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Örjan Lundqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bengt Åhman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Örjan Lundqvist having to interfere. Tim Strömberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt Åhman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tim Strömberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Voltaren FC's Jens-Ola Dahlqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Strömqvist in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute Axel Strömqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Dahlqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Axel Strömqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Voltaren FC's Tim Strömberg got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tim Strömberg's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Örjan Lundqvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mupparnas IF's zone, Bengt Åhman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Örjan Lundqvist came out of the goal and Bengt Åhman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bengt Åhman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Örjan Lundqvist was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tim Strömberg showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 45 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bengt Åhman made a kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Mupparnas IF's Kaj Hellsing nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jens-Ola Dahlqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Tim Strömberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Örjan Lundqvist having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tim Strömberg in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Örjan Lundqvist saved Mupparnas IF from getting behind. Jörgen Godholm kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Bengt Åhman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Örjan Lundqvist having to interfere. In the 66th match minute, Mupparnas IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Linus Fogel to maneuver through the defense. When Voltaren FC's Tim Strömberg in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mupparnas IF's goalie prevented a goal. Voltaren FC's Jens-Ola Dahlqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Voltaren FC from getting a goal against them. Tim Strömberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Örjan Lundqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaj Hellsing who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Jens-Ola Dahlqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 83 minutes into the match, Voltaren FC's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Strömqvist came free, but Jens-Ola Dahlqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mupparnas IF's goalkeeper Örjan Lundqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 87 minutes into the game, Christer Simonsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mupparnas IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Voltaren FC the free kick. In the 87th minute, Christer Simonsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bengt Åhman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Örjan Lundqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Voltaren FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
