Algot Höijer kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Nils Kjellberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dick Ros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Maks BK were furious when Gösta Sjödin was red carded, 34 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Tim Ivarsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tim Ivarsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rickard Ek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
