The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimmy Löv in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Skoglund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Stefan Friberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 9th minute, Emil Brodin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sten Öman kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match Pär Apelqvist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tony Skoglund showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 22nd minute, Bernt Bure hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tony Skoglund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Bure in the 27th minute of the match. If Jimmy Löv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Billeberga BK's goalkeeper Tony Skoglund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Bernt Bure came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Årsunda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernt Bure couldn't finish the play. Tony Skoglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Bure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Stefan Friberger managed to get in a good position for a shot. Billeberga BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Stefan Friberger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johannes Ahlgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 64th minute, Jimmy Löv got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jimmy Löv received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Tony Skoglund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Egon Nyman fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Billeberga BK's protests and gave Egon Nyman a yellow card for diving instead. Egon Nyman kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Billeberga BK's Tony Skoglund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Billeberga BK from getting a goal against them. When Bernt Bure came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Årsunda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernt Bure couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Bernt Bure took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Tony Skoglund to make any attempt to save it. When Bernt Bure came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Årsunda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernt Bure couldn't finish the play. Bernt Bure recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 97 minutes into the game, Kent Söderström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tony Skoglund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Årsunda's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
