In the 10th minute, Ingvar Bredberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elliott Andreasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Tony Hydén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arvin Ahlgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ragnar Mårtensson having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Glidarna's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Olofsson came free, but Ragnar Mårtensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Glidarna booed when DiamondDogs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Åke Joensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Glidarna's Fritz Nordström couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 31st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for DiamondDogs. Tony Hydén made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Elliott Andreasson sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind DiamondDogs's goalkeeper Tony Hydén, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elliott Andreasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Ingvar Sillén dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tony Hydén, 1-0. DiamondDogs's Egil Olofsson got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Egil Olofsson made the kick off in the second half. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when DiamondDogs's Egil Olofsson in the 53rd minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ragnar Mårtensson was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Glidarna through an amazing save. After 55 minutes, Egil Olofsson made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Glidarna's Ragnar Mårtensson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Elliott Andreasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Hydén having to interfere. After some careless play in the Glidarna defense, Arvin Ahlgren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ragnar Mårtensson. The Glidarna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ragnar Mårtensson should have stopped the shot. If Ture Colin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Glidarna's Ragnar Mårtensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Glidarna from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Glidarna's zone, Egil Olofsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ragnar Mårtensson came out of the goal and Egil Olofsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 78 minutes into the game, Marc Nilsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glidarna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DiamondDogs the free kick. After 79 played minutes Glidarna got a freekick which was hit by Marc Nilsson. Ingvar Sillén kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. A hard shot by Ingvar Bredberg from long distance, 83 minutes into the match, got Ragnar Mårtensson's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Tony Hydén took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliott Andreasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Glidarna's goal looked a bit too open when Egil Olofsson came free, but Ragnar Mårtensson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, DiamondDogs's Egil Olofsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3.
