Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mariefred RK's Christer Ingvall played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Wallman in the 13th minute of play. Tim Wallman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Christer Ingvall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Rikard Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mariefred RK's supporters rose to their feet, but Rikard Holmgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvar Holmstedt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Josef Stål kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After having played for 20 minutes, Rikard Holmgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariefred RK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rikard Holmgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christer Ingvall showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Backman, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tim Wallman made a kick off. If Martin Backman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tim Wallman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christer Ingvall having to interfere. The referee showed Maximilian Qvarnström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 69th minute, one of Asklanda FK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Asklanda FK. Mariefred RK were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Asklanda FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gunnar Enegren took the corner. During the 73rd minute of the match Maximilian Qvarnström completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Maximilian Qvarnström a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 74 played minutes Asklanda FK got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Qvarnström. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lennart Karlsson in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvar Holmstedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rikard Holmgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
