Spectators: 7186 (Terracing: 5454, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 60) Mikael Edström started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Bertil Gustavsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickard Telin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bertil Gustavsson went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Arne Kalfhage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Karlsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 minutes, Dennis Eklund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Påskallavik and the Valdemarsvik IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dennis Eklund kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Arne Kalfhage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Karlsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 minutes of play Påskallavik's Dennis Eklund was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Valdemarsvik IK booed when Påskallavik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dennis Eklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herbert Haegg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arne Kalfhage having to interfere. Edgar Karlsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arne Kalfhage. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Karlsson ran back to his position shaking his head. After 31 minutes of play, Valdemarsvik IK's Calle Hermansson made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arne Kalfhage was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Bertil Gustavsson got free with Rickard Telin in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arne Kalfhage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Karlsson in the 40th minute of play. Calle Hermansson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgar Karlsson to make the kick off. Arne Kalfhage made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Calle Hermansson sent off a good shot on target. In the 58th minute, Edgar Karlsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertil Gustavsson in the 62nd minute of play forced Valdemarsvik IK's goalkeeper Rickard Telin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Edgar Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rickard Telin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bertil Gustavsson in the 77th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Valdemarsvik IK got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Haegg. In the 84th match minute, Valdemarsvik IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Axel Danielsson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 85 minutes, Melker Kråk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Påskallavik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melker Kråk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Påskallavik's Bertil Gustavsson got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Valdemarsvik IK's Herbert Haegg got a free kick in the 88th minute. Rickard Telin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertil Gustavsson in the 90th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 92nd minute by Edgar Karlsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Edgar Karlsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Valdemarsvik IK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
