In the 11th minute Edgar Karlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lars Molin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calle Hermansson struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Lars Molin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Valdemarsvik IK. In the 14th minute, Christopher Rosendal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rickard Telin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svante Söderlund in the 16th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 58th minute, one of Håverud:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Håverud. The audience thought a goal was coming when Svante Söderlund got free with Rickard Telin in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th match minute, Håverud was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Ove Rolandsson to maneuver through the defense.
