Gösta Billvall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Eklund having to interfere. In the 4th match minute, Björklinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edwin Palmkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th minute Axel Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Eklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sebastian Benett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Ola Caspersson in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Björklinge's Torgny Bryngelsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Benett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rikard Öman kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Ola Caspersson in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastian Benett saved Skara from getting behind. Axel Johansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jimmie Eklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gösta Billvall, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Axel Johansson came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Skara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Axel Johansson couldn't finish the play. If Gösta Billvall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Torgny Bryngelsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastian Benett. Skara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Torgny Bryngelsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jimmie Eklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jimmie Eklund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Johansson's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Gösta Billvall sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jens-Ola Caspersson made a kick off. Gösta Billvall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Eklund having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Björklinge's Filip Björkdal got a free kick in the 57th minute. Jimmie Eklund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gösta Billvall in the 62nd minute of the match. After having played for 63 minutes, Axel Johansson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Johansson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Torgny Bryngelsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Axel Johansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmie Eklund having to interfere. If Axel Johansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Axel Johansson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Jimmie Eklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Johansson's late challenge caught a Björklinge's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sebastian Johansson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 93rd minute, Sebastian Johansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 minutes of play Skara's Niklas Eriksson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Niklas Eriksson hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the match was over Skara could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Björklinge throughout the match.
