An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Pååk in the 3rd minute of play forced Kvänum's goalkeeper Oscar Fågel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 5 minutes, Alexander Pååk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Knockouts's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexander Pååk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 6 minutes, Kurt Anselius mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kvänum and the The Knockouts players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th minute of the match Jörgen Gustavsson shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oscar Fågel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Oscar Fågel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Engman, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Åke Odeen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reine Ingvall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gert Engman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Alexander Pååk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oscar Fågel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, The Knockouts's goal looked a bit too open when Reine Ingvall came free, but Åke Odeen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Melker Kinell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kvänum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Melker Kinell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexander Pååk struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Oscar Fågel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Knockouts. Alexander Pååk scored 0-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oscar Fågel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of The Knockouts booed when Kvänum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. George Collin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kasper Åman's late challenge caught a Kvänum's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kasper Åman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd match minute, The Knockouts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kasper Åman to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes The Knockouts got a freekick which was hit by Gert Engman. When the match was over The Knockouts could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Kvänum throughout the match.
