In the 6th minute, Börje Johnsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Niclas Stålman. The goal made the score 1-0. When Sören Vennerberg fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rengsjö's protests and gave Sören Vennerberg a yellow card for diving instead. Sören Vennerberg kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Börje Johnsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Börje Johnsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Niclas Stålman made a huge save. In the 14th match minute, Rengsjö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vilgot Grep to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Österskär RK's goalkeeper Henry Göransson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Niclas Stålman was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Börje Johnsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Börje Johnsson really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Rolf Widberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Henry Göransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arne Hedkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stig-Ove Lundqvist was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 35th minute. Österskär RK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After having played for 42 minutes, Rolf Widberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rengsjö's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolf Widberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henry Göransson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Widberg in the 44th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rolf Widberg made a kick off. The free kick in the 52nd minute by Sören Vennerberg was well hit, but to his irritation, it went to the left of the post instead of in the goal. With a little luck, Österskär RK's Henry Göransson got control of the ball when Arne Hedkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arne Hedkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Henry Göransson made a huge save. After 71 minutes, Sten Gustavsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Österskär RK and the Rengsjö players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes, Rengsjö's Gilbert Kullander shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henry Göransson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rengsjö reached it. Niclas Stålman came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Österskär RK's Stig-Ove Lundqvist. But to his dismay, Stig-Ove Lundqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Österskär RK's Börje Johnsson got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Österskär RK's Henry Göransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolf Widberg in the 85th minute of play. Rengsjö's Niclas Stålman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Johnsson in the 87th minute of play. In the 91st minute Rolf Widberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Göransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolf Widberg in the 92nd minute of the match. When Börje Johnsson came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Österskär RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Börje Johnsson couldn't finish the play.
