Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kjell Ingemarsson in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Prebens Pojkar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carl Bäckström charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carl Bäckström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 23 played minutes Prebens Pojkar got a freekick which was hit by Carl Bäckström. Jack Askestät recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jack Askestät received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pål Sellberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Jack Askestät slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Prebens Pojkar's Carl Bäckström got a free kick in the 35th minute. Nils Browall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Pål Sellberg made a huge save. Yngve Pihl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils Browall took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pål Sellberg. Pål Sellberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jack Askestät to make the kick off. Prebens Pojkar's Pål Sellberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Askestät in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Eskilstuna booed when Prebens Pojkar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. When Victor Söder came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Prebens Pojkar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Söder couldn't finish the play. If Victor Söder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 80th match minute, Eskilstuna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörn Hurtig to maneuver through the defense.
