Spectators: 7312 (Terracing: 5485, Seating: 1682, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dan Stensson kicked off to start the match. Dan Stensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lasses IK's Mårten Ekelund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Söderström in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Stensson in the 10th minute of play forced Berghem's goalkeeper Bengt Holmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Dan Stensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Holmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mårten Wennersten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 18 minutes, Viggo Falkrantz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lasses IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viggo Falkrantz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, one of Lasses IK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Mårten Ekelund had in the 24thth minute some difficulties stopping Lars Öman's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Berghem's Lars Öman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mårten Ekelund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The supporters of Lasses IK booed when Berghem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Oskar Browall didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Bengt Holmberg managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when Lasses IK's Dan Stensson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 29 played minutes Berghem got a freekick which was hit by Dag Forsberg. Lasses IK's Dan Stensson got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mårten Ekelund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie Larsfält, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Larsfält in the 40th minute of play forced Lasses IK's goalkeeper Mårten Ekelund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernt Hedström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Holmberg having to interfere. Dan Stensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Bengt Holmberg made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddie Larsfält to make the kick off. Berghem's Sven-Edvin Söderström got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 55th minute, Dan Stensson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lasses IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Mårten Ekelund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Larsfält in the 60th minute of play. Bernt Hedström scored 3-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bengt Holmberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Berghem booed when Lasses IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Åke Bivall didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Bernt Hedström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Stensson in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt Holmberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Sven-Edvin Söderström fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Berghem's protests and gave Sven-Edvin Söderström a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Berghem getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Sven-Edvin Söderström hit a great ball. Mårten Ekelund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie Larsfält, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Dan Stensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lasses IK's Dan Stensson got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernt Hedström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dag Forsberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mårten Ekelund came out and tried to block the shot, but Dag Forsberg slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 90th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Edvin Söderström got free with Mårten Ekelund in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There was no doubt that Lasses IK were the better team. Lasses IK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
