Jörn Högberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brian Jonasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Real Valbo's goal looked a bit too open when Melker Tomasson came free, but Marcus Ljungberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute Ralf Nykvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Ljungberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes strömspojkarna got a freekick which was hit by Melker Tomasson. If Brian Jonasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in strömspojkarna's zone, Brian Jonasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörn Högberg came out of the goal and Brian Jonasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Hägg in the 26th minute of play forced strömspojkarna's goalkeeper Jörn Högberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albin Hägg struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jörn Högberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Valbo. 36 minutes into the game, Brian Jonasson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Valbo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave strömspojkarna the free kick. A collision led to Real Valbo getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Brian Jonasson hit a great ball. Brian Jonasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Albin Hägg came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Real Valbo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albin Hägg couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, strömspojkarna's Ove Emander got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Jörn Högberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albin Hägg's shot from short distance in the 44th minute.

Brian Jonasson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albin Hägg might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jörn Högberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albin Hägg ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 65th minute, Brian Jonasson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 68th minute, Brian Jonasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arne Wahlström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcus Ljungberg. Real Valbo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After having played for 73 minutes, Brian Jonasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Valbo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Jonasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Real Valbo's Marcus Ljungberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Isaksson in the 76th minute of play. Melker Tomasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Marcus Ljungberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Brian Jonasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Valbo's supporters rose to their feet, but Brian Jonasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jörn Högberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Melker Tomasson charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melker Tomasson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 83 played minutes strömspojkarna got a freekick which was hit by Melker Tomasson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albin Hägg in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jörn Högberg saved strömspojkarna from getting behind. After having played for 86 minutes, Brian Jonasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Valbo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brian Jonasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
