The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucas Colin got free with Sune Lund in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roger Nyberg hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 17 played minutes BenKnäckarGänget got a freekick which was hit by Einar Jonsson. Samuel Månsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Fox United booed when BenKnäckarGänget was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Nyberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fox United's Samuel Månsson got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Samuel Månsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sune Lund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Månsson's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Greger Alberg to strike the kick off in the second half. Greger Alberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The BenKnäckarGänget fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sune Lund should have stopped the shot. In the 86th minute, Tom Finnman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sune Lund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Colin in the 96th minute of play.
