Spectators: 6675 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 0) The supporters of Fårbo FF booed when Björneborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Göransson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 6 played minutes, Fårbo FF's Karl-Michael Andberg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Ekegren came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fårbo FF reached it. If Verner Mårtensson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th minute Kåre Erserman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Ekegren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Kvalfält took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Skoglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Allan Björnberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kåre Erserman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Daniel Skoglund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Kvalfält having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Allan Björnberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Björneborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Allan Björnberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim Kvalfält breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kåre Erserman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell-Arne Ekegren having to interfere. When Allan Björnberg came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Björneborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allan Björnberg couldn't finish the play. 42 minutes into the game, Daniel Skoglund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tim Kvalfält was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Knut Finman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Kjell-Arne Ekegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Allan Björnberg made a kick off. Tim Kvalfält tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kjell-Arne Ekegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kåre Erserman in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fårbo FF's zone, Daniel Skoglund stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Kvalfält came out of the goal and Daniel Skoglund tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Björneborg's Kjell-Arne Ekegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Verner Mårtensson in the 71st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Björneborg's Tim Kvalfält threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Allan Björnberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 90 minutes of play, Björneborg's Allan Björnberg made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Kvalfält was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th minute, Verner Mårtensson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjell-Arne Ekegren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The Fårbo FF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Björneborg's performance. The match ended with a win for Björneborg.
