Spectators: 7367 (Terracing: 5526, Seating: 1694, VIP seats: 147) Ulf Bergdal started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jonas Bohlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Carlsson in the 5th minute of play. After 6 minutes of play, Köping FF's Torbjörn Svanberg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonas Bohlin was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 10th minute, Isak Hedling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ulf Bergdal sped through Köping FF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gert Lindberg. After a defensive mix-up in ChowLake FC's zone, Torbjörn Svanberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonas Bohlin came out of the goal and Torbjörn Svanberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ulf Bergdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Lindberg having to interfere. Gert Lindberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Bergdal, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Gert Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulf Bergdal in the 26th minute of play. If Patric Odén had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 29th minute, Sven-Åke Trillkott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torbjörn Svanberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonas Bohlin having to make a save. Alexander Carlsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jonas Bohlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Carlsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander Carlsson to make the kick off. ChowLake FC's Jonas Bohlin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Carlsson in the 54th minute of play. Åke Beckeman was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 62 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, one of ChowLake FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ChowLake FC. The ChowLake FC fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when ChowLake FC's Patric Odén looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Patric Odén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Torbjörn Svanberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, ChowLake FC's Patric Odén sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gert Lindberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 92nd minute of the match Isak Hedling shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonas Bohlin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Patric Odén came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the ChowLake FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patric Odén couldn't finish the play.
