If Klas Holmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bengt-Rune Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klas Holmberg in the 21st minute of play. Bengt-Arne Bennet kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Tom Ek got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Johnny Tidéksson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Enegren in the 25th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Isak Fors kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bengt-Rune Nyberg. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. With a little luck, Ungdom United's Bengt-Rune Nyberg got control of the ball when Ola Haström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dennis Enegren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Johnny Tidéksson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Isak Fors had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Klas Holmberg in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bengt-Rune Nyberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 57th match minute, Ungdom United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magne Asklund to maneuver through the defense. Bengt-Rune Nyberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klas Holmberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gösta Överman during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th minute, one of Arkelstorp IK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Arkelstorp IK. Robert Söderström placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! The supporters of Ungdom United booed when Arkelstorp IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gösta Överman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Ungdom United defense, Ola Haström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bengt-Rune Nyberg. The Ungdom United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bengt-Rune Nyberg should have stopped the shot. Bengt-Rune Nyberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Bengt-Rune Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ola Haström in the 80th minute of play. Bengt-Rune Nyberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isak Fors in the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Ungdom United's goal looked a bit too open when Isak Fors came free, but Bengt-Rune Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Sven-Arne Viberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Klas Holmberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arkelstorp IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. After 95 minutes of play, Arkelstorp IK's Bengt-Arne Bennet made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bengt-Rune Nyberg was left in no man's land by his defense there!
