Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the game, Valentin Rosen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Åby IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ungdom United the free kick. After a rather tough play, Åby IF's Valentin Rosen got a free kick in the 6th minute. Tom Eks short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Peter Lundin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Ungdom United booed when Åby IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Arne Busk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tom Ek might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Lundin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tom Ek ran back to his position shaking his head. Tom Ek in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Peter Lundin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edward Bokelund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 26th match minute, Åby IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentin Rosen to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the game, Benjamin Forsell cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bengt-Rune Nyberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the game, Tom Ek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Peter Lundin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Tom Ek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ungdom United's supporters rose to their feet, but Tom Ek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Lundin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennis Enegren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Bokelund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Lundin having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tom Ek made a kick off. Peter Lundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Ek in the 52nd minute of the match. Tom Ek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ungdom United getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Dennis Enegren hit a great ball. When Dennis Enegren came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Ungdom United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dennis Enegren couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Åby IF's zone, Tom Ek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Lundin came out of the goal and Tom Ek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stig-Arne Busk's late challenge caught a Ungdom United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Arne Busk helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Åby IF's Stig-Arne Busk got a free kick in the 64th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Åby IF's zone, Tom Ek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Peter Lundin came out of the goal and Tom Ek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tom Ek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tom Ek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Peter Lundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ungdom United's Tom Ek got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Åby IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ungdom United:s goal. Tom Ek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Peter Lundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 87 played minutes Åby IF got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Rosen. In the 91st minute, Åby IF's Benjamin Kellbom ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bengt-Rune Nyberg. Bengt-Rune Nyberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 98th minute Stig-Arne Busk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt-Rune Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ungdom United players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
