Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henning Forsman started the match with the kick off. If Klas Holmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig Tinglöf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isak Fors, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Henning Forsman came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Hallsberg FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henning Forsman couldn't finish the play. Johnny Tidéksson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henning Forsman's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Elof Tunberg's late challenge caught a Arkelstorp IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elof Tunberg helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute of the match Arkelstorp IK got a corner. Hallsberg FK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gösta Överman ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gösta Överman got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stig Tinglöf quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Klas Holmberg in the 22nd minute of play forced Hallsberg FK's goalkeeper Stig Tinglöf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute, Klas Holmberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arkelstorp IK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 27th match minute, Arkelstorp IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivar Hedlund to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Isac Mellbad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hallsberg FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Isac Mellbad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johnny Tidéksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fred Brolin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 32nd minute. Hallsberg FK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Bengt-Arne Lustig fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arkelstorp IK's protests and gave Bengt-Arne Lustig a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hallsberg FK booed when Arkelstorp IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Arne Lustig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stig Tinglöf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klas Holmberg in the 38th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Arkelstorp IK's zone, Fred Brolin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Tidéksson came out of the goal and Fred Brolin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Klas Holmberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Arkelstorp IK were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Klas Holmberg made a kick off. Ola Haström's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Stig Tinglöf firmly grabbed it by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Klas Holmberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Stig Tinglöf. That made the score 0-2 in the 59 minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Arkelstorp IK's Ola Haström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stig Tinglöf made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Hallsberg FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Klas Holmberg scored to the left of an out of position Stig Tinglöf, making the score, 0-4. Stig Tinglöf made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ola Haström in the 72nd minute. Elof Tunberg got his second yellow card in the match during the 73rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Hallsberg FK's Elof Tunberg got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After having played for 74 minutes, Ola Haström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arkelstorp IK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ola Haström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ola Haström got free with Stig Tinglöf in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Klas Holmberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stig Tinglöf having to make a save. Klas Holmberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute, Isac Mellbad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ola Haström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hallsberg FK's Stig Tinglöf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klas Holmberg in the 88th minute of play. A collision led to Arkelstorp IK getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Isak Fors hit a great ball. Fred Brolin struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Johnny Tidéksson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hallsberg FK. Arkelstorp IK's Ola Haström got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Klas Holmberg was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Arkelstorp IK's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Arkelstorp IK's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
