Spectators: 7280 (Terracing: 5462, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Henning Forsman took the kick off in the first half of the match. Peter Lundin came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Hallsberg FK's Elof Tunberg. But to his dismay, Elof Tunberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Benjamin Forsell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Kellbom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig Tinglöf having to interfere. After having played for 15 minutes, Henning Forsman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hallsberg FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henning Forsman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peter Lundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henning Forsman in the 17th minute of play. In the 20thth minute of the game Fred Brolin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Åby IF's Peter Lundin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The tension between the Åby IF and the Hallsberg FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Åby IF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Stig Tinglöf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Forsell in the 33rd minute of play. Åby IF's Peter Lundin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bengt-Arne Lindqvist in the 36th minute of play. Henning Forsman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Henning Forsman in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peter Lundin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benjamin Forsell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Benjamin Forsell made the kick off in the second half. Henning Forsman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Peter Lundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Hallsberg FK got a freekick which was hit by Bengt-Arne Lindqvist. After having played for 61 minutes, Henning Forsman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hallsberg FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henning Forsman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 played minutes Åby IF got a freekick which was hit by Valentin Rosen. Fred Brolin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Lundin having to interfere. If Benjamin Kellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fred Brolin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Kellbom might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stig Tinglöf. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Kellbom ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Hallsberg FK's Peter Lundin threw himself towards the right post 81 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Henning Forsman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Benjamin Kellbom came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Åby IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Kellbom couldn't finish the play. After 89 minutes of play, Åby IF's Benjamin Forsell made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stig Tinglöf was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Åby IF supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Hallsberg FK's performance. The match ended with a win for Hallsberg FK.
