The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jesper Odeen's late challenge caught a Målarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jesper Odeen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, one of Svärdsjö RK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Svärdsjö RK. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Målarna. Casper Lövgren stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Börje Norberg. 0-1. After having played for 10 minutes, Marcus Berggren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Målarna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcus Berggren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 minutes of play, Svärdsjö RK's Dennis Häll made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jimmie Melberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 17 played minutes Svärdsjö RK got a freekick which was hit by Edwin Bergman. Per-Åke Stenberg charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Per-Åke Stenberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Svärdsjö RK got a freekick which was hit by Per-Åke Stenberg. If Axel Björkdal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Börje Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Bratt, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Pär Rolandsson fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Svärdsjö RK's protests and gave Pär Rolandsson a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Svärdsjö RK got a freekick which was hit by Pär Rolandsson. Svärdsjö RK's Börje Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils Bratt in the 33rd minute of play. Börje Norberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Bratt in the 34th minute of the match. If Marcus Berggren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Svärdsjö RK's Börje Norberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simon Wallman in the 38th minute of play. Börje Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Wallman, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Axel Björkdal in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Börje Norberg saved Svärdsjö RK from getting behind. If Nils Bratt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Börje Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casper Lövgren in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Målarna getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. John Wickander hit a great ball. Nils Bratt kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Börje Norberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Björkdal, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Axel Almstedt in the 55th minute of play forced Svärdsjö RK's goalkeeper Börje Norberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee gave Svärdsjö RK a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kennet Biörkman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Målarna's Jimmie Melberg. 2-1. Jimmie Melberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Åke Stenberg in the 62nd minute of play. Börje Norberg made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Casper Lövgren sent off a good shot on target. Per-Åke Stenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Svärdsjö RK's Börje Norberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Svärdsjö RK from getting a goal against them. Casper Lövgren struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Börje Norberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Målarna. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Svärdsjö RK's goalkeeper Börje Norberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 76 minutes of play, Målarna's Mattias Burman made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Börje Norberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th minute, Casper Lövgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Berggren in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Börje Norberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Börje Norberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Björkdal in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Per-Åke Stenberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimmie Melberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. In the 91st minute Mattias Burman managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Casper Lövgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Börje Norberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casper Lövgren received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Börje Norberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Casper Lövgren slotted it home off the left post making it 3-4 in the 94th minute. Simon Wallman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Svärdsjö RK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Målarna were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
